Things to do in the Arcadia Valley/Black River Recreation Area...

There are so many things to do here in the Arcadia Valley and the Black River Recreation Area! No matter what you enjoy doing, this area seems to have it! Warm weather has arrived, and the weather is perfect for sightseeing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, fishing, or any other outdoor activity you can think of!

Enjoy hiking, biking and birdwatching at the state parks and on the many hiking trails throughout the area. There are additional trails through the Mark Twain National Forest.

Some of the best antique shopping to be found is in the Arcadia Valley area! Nothing is more fun than a day of browsing antique shops with friends...

And the Black River Recreation Area is filled with opportunities for canoeing and kayaking! And I know there's some excellent fishing to be found at the Black River as well. Clearwater Lake and Crane Lake are only a short drive away for some excellent fishing as well.

In addition, there are many civil war sites throughout both the Arcadia Valley and Reynolds County. Civil War history abounds in this area, and is just waiting for you to check it out...
